Phil Serna, newly elected Sacramento County Supervisor for District 1, wanted a calling card he could use on less formal occasions when he is networking or otherwise engaging with the public. Independent to his official county supervisor cards, the ones with the shiny county seal, he wanted something he could leave with people that still conveyed a professional image, but that specifically connected him to his district while offering his contact information.  We solved this by incorporating iconic symbols from his district in a collage of imagery on one side of the card, and placing his contact info, all by itself on the other side.  Even though this seems like a pretty simple concept, it still needs to be executed well to be successful.
