When approached by The California Group, a political public affairs firm based out of San Francisco, regarding the development of their brand, we were excited for the opportunity to work in the political arena. In our initial meeting with TCG, they conveyed their need to create an identity that was unmistakably “California”. They wanted their logo-mark to say “California” just as much as their name did. The best way to achieve this is to use an icon that is synonymous with California. The underlying problem with this, is that we were not alone in our thinking. The icon we, and numerous other California-based companies, chose was the golden bear. The challenge now was to create an identity using a very common icon in a very uncommon fashion. We decided to focus on the most recognizable part of the bear and build the logo around that. The result is very straight forward logo that uses all the same pieces that everyone else was using but create a finish product that is unique in comparison.
Once the logo had been created, we then formed an entire identity around it. The same imagery and sense of professionalism was extended to the website, which we designed in WordPress because of its Content Management System and its Search Engine Optimization. View Art | Visit Website
Corvus was incredibly helpful and visionary in helping us effectively brand three entities. For my business in particular, they were able to put together the appropriate imagery that communicated the level of professionalism that we strove to reach. They are very easy to work with and have the patience, creativity, and perseverance necessary to reach the goals we had set out to reach. I would recommend them to any business or organization who wants to look good in the eyes of its customers or supporters.Marjan Philhour, President and CEO of The California Group
